The App only amplifies into headphones, never into the iPhone speaker β otherwise the microphone would pick up its own output and howl. Connect AirPods or wired headphones first. If they are connected and it still does nothing, check iOS Settings β Privacy & Security β Microphone and make sure Pro Hearing Aid 3 is switched on.
Any headphones that iOS can output to: AirPods and AirPods Pro/Max, Beats, other Bluetooth headphones, and wired ones through the Lightning or USB-C adapter. Wired headphones have the least delay. AirPods Pro give the best result because their own noise cancellation cuts the background before the App amplifies it.
A small delay (latency) is unavoidable over Bluetooth β it comes from the wireless link, not from the App. Wired headphones remove almost all of it.
That is the microphone hearing your own headphone output. Lower the volume, move the phone further from your ears, and reduce the treble in the equaliser. If you use open-back or loose-fitting headphones, feedback starts at a much lower volume.
Lower the sensitivity slider first, then trim the treble in the equaliser. Keep the volume limit switched on in Settings β it caps the output to protect your hearing.
The App amplifies whatever the microphone hears; it cannot separate a single speaker from a noisy room. Point the bottom of the phone towards the person speaking, and if you use AirPods Pro turn on their noise cancellation.
No. The check is an approximate listening test that tunes the App to your ears. Its results depend on your headphones and how quiet the room is, and it is not a clinical measurement. For a real assessment, see an audiologist.
Yes β Settings β hearing check. Do it in a quiet room, with the headphones you actually use.
Settings β Restore Purchases, signed in with the Apple ID you bought it with.
iOS Settings β tap your name β Subscriptions β Pro Hearing Aid 3 β Cancel Subscription. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date, otherwise the next period is charged.
Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
No. Sound is amplified live on your device and immediately played to your headphones. It is never written to a file and never leaves the device. The full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
Keep the iPhone app open (or in the background) and the two devices within Bluetooth range. If the controls still do not respond, force-quit both apps and start the iPhone one first.
